How to win over Marathas to our side? If we support their demand for OBC status bring them to our side and help increase their divide with Brahmins? Pl. write.

Reply --- All Dalits in Maharashtra are suggesting this type of solutoin. But I have written a book and many articles on this topic. One of the Ambedkarites belonging to the BAMCEF outfit stated this point. His point is the same you have written in the email. If the Marathas are given OBC status, they will become Ambedkarite and anti-brahmin. I told them, " After 19 years of implementation of Mandal reservation, we know what a hard task for OBCs to accept Fule-ism. Although if we believe in this theory of "Get reservation to be Ambedkarite". I also asked them "Then instead of giving them OBC status, why not SC status? If Marathas got SC status, they would become Ambedkarite very fast" With flying into a rage they strongly opposed my statement and said that there is a criteria to include any caste in the SC. As marathas are not untouchables they will not get CS status. I answered Dalit intelectuals (?), " there also is a criteria for getting OBC status. Mandal commission had formulated the criteria and prepared a list of OBCs, in which Maratha caste is not included. Why? Becouse Maratha caste was not meeting the terms of criteria drawn by Mandal commission. Till today, as per 7 commissions appointed by Maharashtra (Maratha) Government, Marathas are not qualified for OBC status. As per Fule-Ambedkarism ruling caste should not get reservation. Because with the help of reservation they will be more strong to exploit SC,ST,OBSc more! Today reservation is not a thing of movement but it is merely remain for enjoying the life for personal upliftment. If there is motto of caste-upliftment, then why for ruling caste? A female goat needs a reservation (i.e. instead of getting dry grass she would get lush green grass). With the help of reservation (lush green grass) she will be mighty enough to protect herself from the attack of lion-butcher. At the same time butcher also enjoying the same status of reservation. Butcher gets reservation, it means instead of having one large knife he would have more than two large knives of various sizes to cut more and more goats at a time. Is this a principle of Fule-Ambedkaism? Is this a way to take anti-caste movement to further step? What is reservation? For what purpose it should implemented ? Is it only tool for demolish caste system or is it a thing of enjoyment ? I had explained all these points in my book named - " Maratha jatiche OBCkaran ani jati-antache dhoran" ( To reward OBC status to Maratha catse and policy of anti-caste movement.") After your suggestion of giving OBC status to Marathas, I am not surprised but I feel it very essential to translate this book in English. But Who will do this?

Many activists requested me to write something on this chapter. I feel it is need of hour to make a sky smokeless and to vanish the confusion. Sir, Municipal Corporation of Nashik has conducted the examination on the syllabus book published by Satyashodhak Dnyanpith (Fule-Ambedkar University). This syllabus book contains the biography of great leader Tatyasaheb Mahatma Jotirao Fule, Chhatrapati Shahu Raje And Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. 3000 students were appeared for this Exam. This exam was conducted in three folds. 31 students were selected as a most meritorious. They will be rewarded peizes in the grand ceremony. Satya Shodhak Dnyanpith has been carrying out the examinations for 16 years. The syllabus books of this exams are containing the Writings of FULE & AMBEDKAR, like "Caste in India", "Annihilation of Caste", "Who were the Shudras", "Riddles in Hinduism" And "Shetkryacha Asud", "Gulamgiri", "Brahmnache Kasab", "Sarvajanik Satyadharm" This year we have decided to organize the exam on States & Minorities, the real Constitution of India written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in 1944. The book will be published soon & the examination will be held in September2011. We are sending detail action program , aim & policy of our Dnyanpith by next E-mail. Thanks.
On the occasion of Fule-Ambedkar birth anniversary I went to Daund (dist. Pune) and A'nagar to deliver lectures on social subjects. Next tour as follow -- 17th April at Nagpur 19 th at Bhusawal 23rd at Gondia
